Usher and Chris Brown Take Over Atlanta: A Record Five Nights at Mercedes-Benz Stadium
By MPPress, Allegedly Media

Atlanta, this is a big one. Usher and Chris Brown have brought The R&B Tour to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for five nights — November 5, 6, 8, 10 and 11 — the first time any act has played five nights at the stadium in a single stop.
How Two Nights Became Five
When the co-headlining tour was announced in April, Atlanta was getting two shows. Then the city spoke. The first two sold out, a third was added, then a fourth, and by August a fifth date was on the books — a record-setting run for the venue. The stadium tour, produced by Live Nation, opened June 26 in Denver and has grown to 59 shows before it closes out in Tampa this December. It is the first full tour Usher and Chris Brown have ever done together, and Atlanta clearly was not going to let it pass with just a weekend.
A Rocky Opening Night
Opening night on November 5 was not without drama. Fans leaving the stadium posted that the show started roughly two hours late, with some calling the night cut short and asking tough questions about ticket prices. Reports of tension backstage between the two stars made the rounds online, and Brown pushed back on the chatter. Neither camp has let it slow the run down — night two plays tonight, November 6, and three more Atlanta nights follow.
Fair is fair: a five-night stand means five chances to get it right, and both of these men built their names on live performance. Atlanta will be watching to see the fellas give this city the show it paid for.
If You Are Going
The R&B Tour plays Mercedes-Benz Stadium on November 6, 8, 10 and 11, with shows at 7:30 p.m. and doors at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are through Ticketmaster, and some nights are showing limited availability — if you have been on the fence, do not wait on the last two nights.
Two of R&B's biggest showmen, one stage, five nights in the A. Whatever night one looked like, this is still the concert event of the season in Atlanta.
